Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:45pm-5:30pm
Aimed primarily at ages 5–12, but not exclusively, HBA Schools provides structured, coach-led sessions for those starting or developing their journey in boxing.
Sessions focus on the core fundamentals of the sport through:
Boxing skills, drills and pad work
Bag work and circuits
Skipping, running and sport-specific games
Core exercises and mobility
Coordination, movement and balance
Fitness, discipline and confidence
All sessions are non-contact/semi-contact, with no open sparring (full contact).
The emphasis is on learning, developing and building the foundations required for progression in boxing.
Age is a guideline (5–12), not the deciding factor for progression.
Progression to HBA Junior & Youth is based on individual development, ability, maturity and readiness rather than age alone. Developing the required skills, fitness and fundamental boxing techniques is an essential part of progressing to the next training group.
All sessions are structured and coach-led, providing a disciplined but supportive environment in which young boxers can develop at their own pace.
Please note that HBA timetables may vary during school holidays, public holidays, periods of significant club commitments to competitive boxing, coach illness or injury, adverse weather conditions, and essential repairs or maintenance.
Where necessary, this may result in classes being merged, rescheduled or cancelled.
HBA will always aim to provide members with as much advance notice as reasonably possible of any changes.
Changes to the timetable do not constitute grounds for a full or partial refund or reduction in membership fees.
It is the member's responsibility to notify HBA if they wish to cancel their membership.
One month's notice is required. Cancellation will take effect only once the notice period has been completed and the next and final scheduled payment has been honoured.
No refunds will be issued where a member chooses not to attend for any period of time but has not formally notified HBA of their intention to cancel their membership.
